What we do
Programming
Understanding the project requirements, objectives, and constraints through discussions with the client. This phase includes identifying the project’s purpose, function, and specific spatial needs.
Design Development
Refining the chosen concept and translating it into a more detailed and coordinated design. This includes further exploration of building materials, structural systems, spatial organization, and interior/exterior aesthetics. Collaboration with engineers and other consultants may occur during this phase to address technical considerations.
Construction Administration
Providing support during the construction phase, including reviewing contractor submittals, responding to requests for information (RFIs), conducting site visits, and addressing any design-related issues that may arise.
Site Analysis
Assessing the physical characteristics of the project site, such as topography, climate, access, and surrounding context. This analysis helps inform design decisions and ensures the design integrates harmoniously with the environment.
Construction Documentation
Preparing detailed drawings, specifications, and other documents that communicate the design intent to the contractors and builders. These documents serve as a guide for construction and include architectural plans, sections, elevations, schedules, and material specifications.
Conceptual Design
Developing initial design ideas and concepts based on the project requirements and site analysis. This stage often involves creating sketches, diagrams, and models to explore different design possibilities and spatial relationships.
Permitting and Approvals
Assisting the client in obtaining necessary permits and approvals from local authorities, ensuring that the design complies with building codes, zoning regulations, and other legal requirements.
